| Q&A with Natalie K |
| To shed a little light on the subject of engagement ring purchases, we asked Linda Garrido of Natalie K jewelry company to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about selecting the perfect engagement ring. |
| I don’t think my girlfriend would like a traditional diamond ring. Can the ring have a gemstone instead of a diamond? |
| Absolutely! The engagement ring is very personal, and if she likes a certain gemstone (i.e. a sapphire like Princess Diana), it might be fun to go outside of the traditional box. Just be sure to pick a stone that is durable enough for everyday wear. |
| I have no idea what ring would be perfect for my girlfriend. Is it OK to go shopping together after I propose? |
| It’s OK to shop together afterward, but it will be more romantic if you surprised her with a diamond set in a Tiffany mounting, and choose a setting together at a later time. If by chance she prefers a different shape stone, it’s best that you purchase it from your local retailer store and not online, since it will accommodate and take care of your special situation. |
| If my girlfriend doesn’t like the ring I picked out for her, what are my options? |
| Discuss that possibility prior to purchasing the ring with the retailer, and, most likely, he or she will be receptive to you exchanging it for something your girlfriend would like. |
